2007 Bowling Team
The bowling team had a very successful regular season and district tournament (Goodpasture, Stratford, Hunters Lane, McGavock, Whites Creek, Maplewood, East Literature are in our district). Our team won the district championship on December 6 at Madison Bowl against McGavock! Because of the district win, we played FRA in the opening round at the region tournament in January at Hermitage Lanes. David Jackson led the team during that match with a personal best 278. We won the opening round against FRA, but lost to Mt. Juliet in the semi-final round, thus ending our season. Our final season record was 13-3.
According to the TSSAA website, there are 132+ Division I bowling teams competing this year. It’s not broken up in to A, AA, AAA, etc. Because of our win against FRA at Regions, we were one of about 20+ teams in the entire state who made it that far in the tournaments!
In addition, Josh Duncan had the highest individual average (191.43) of all the boys in our 7-team district! Christina Wiley had the highest individual average (175.42) of all the girls in our district!
