New President Announced

GCS SealThe Board of Directors of Goodpasture Christian School is pleased to update you on the progress we have made in the selection of a new president. In January, we signed a contract with Parker Executive Search, of Atlanta, GA, to conduct a nationwide search for the new president. Following Parker's thorough search of candidates interested and qualified for this position, the search was narrowed to 7 finalists from 7 major cities across the nation. The full Board of Directors interviewed the 7 finalists and came to a consensus. Effective June of 2008, our new president will be Mr. Ricky Perry of Chattanooga, TN. Ricky has served in Christian education for 23+ years. He has served as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, and for the past 7 years, as Development Director of Boyd Buchanan School in Chattanooga.

Parents of Goodpasture students will be receiving a letter in the mail next week with additional information.

We continue to ask for your prayers and support as we transition into this exciting new beginning.

Frank C. Batson
Chairman of the Board
