Elementary School Drop-Off and Dismissal Guide

Every measure that is taken in the morning and at dismissal is in the interest of your child’s safety. Please read the following carefully:

Please drive slowly between speed bumps. Children and teachers are crossing all during the day.
Please unload your child on the side toward the building he is entering in order to prevent an accident.
All students go through regular dismissal unless they are staying in extended care.
Please stay in the same lane as you pull around the building.
Trucks, vans, and other large vehicles should drive in the lane closest to the high school to enable children to see all lanes.
Pull up close to the car in front of you and either put your car in park or turn the engine off until all the cars have loaded.
No child may go to a car until a whistle has blown. If your child does not see you, let a teacher know so we can assist you.
Please be patient with us. The first few weeks may be hectic, but we will do everything we can to dismiss safely and quickly.
