Goodpasture Christian School Baseball Coach Richie Estep has been named the 2008 Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association (TBCA) AA Coach of the year. Coach Estep led the 2008 Cougar baseball team to their second consecutive State Championship. The Cougars finished the season with a 39-4 record--the best in school history.
Player of the Year
Adam Adkins ('08) has been named the 2008 TBCA AA Player of the Year. Adam is a freshman at the University of Tennessee and will be a part of the Volunteer Baseball team this spring.
Coach Estep and Adkins won this same award last year in 2007. This is the first time a coach and player have won this same award 2 years in a row.
Goodpasture Christian School now offers ROAR (REACHING OUT WITH ACADEMIC RESOURCES), a program for students needing academic support.
Seniors Chelsey Nolen and Michael Robinson traveled to Washington DC to participate in the inauguration festivities. Chelsey was part of a group of 16,000 students organized by the Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference, and "Mikey" traveled with 300 other students as part of Presidential Classroom.
Office Depot has started a program to give Goodpasture credit towards schools supplies whenever YOU make a purchase of qualifying school supplies.
