At Goodpasture, spiritual formation is a process of becoming connected to God by becoming a disciple of Jesus.
We learn that God knows and loves each of us completely, and He shows us how to love others as He loves us. Everything we do at Goodpasture is based on these truths. We have daily Bible classes for every student, and chapel is a time we set aside for worship, prayer, and connection to each other. Additionally, each member of our faculty, administration, and the coaching staff is dedicated to making every activity on campus an opportunity to grow our students into the people God has created them to be.
Goodpasture Christian School offers its students innumerable ways to use their lives to bless others in the name of Jesus, and over the last five years, those opportunities have spilled across international borders. Goodpasture Missions coordinates short-term mission trips for high school students. It was started five years ago, and God continues to pour out his blessings on the students, teachers, and parents involved in the program.
Goodpasture Christian School believes serving the community is a natural demonstration of our Christian faith. Our students routinely manifest their faith through service so that we might be examples of Christ in our community and the world.
Each year between Thanksgiving and Christmas the entire school collects canned food for our annual food drive. In the elementary school, students collect warm coats, gloves, and hats for area clothing rooms and prepare MAGI boxes for distribution to children in Honduras. The middle school participates in a buddy program with a local elementary school to provide Christmas gifts for the children and an end of year celebration. At the high school level, students have numerous opportunities to serve others through participation in the food drive, Ronald McDonald House, Second Harvest, Habitat for Humanity, community service days, and mission trips.
