Middle school is an important time full of great change in the lives of students. Our lower middle school is made up of fifth and sixth graders. When students enter fifth grade, they are children – physically, emotionally and intellectually. The transition from elementary school to lower middle school is made easy by our knowledgeable, caring faculty. Knowing these years have the power to shape a child's whole life, our middle school teachers are dedicated to adolescent education. It is our goal to assist each student to become the person which God has intended.
Class field trips during the year allow students to explore subject matter in greater depth while providing the opportunity for growth. Each fall our sixth grade students attend a retreat at Land Between the Lakes at the Brandon Springs campground. This trip encourages friendship and unity while exploring the beautiful, natural surroundings. In order for students to have the best possible experience, a variety of activities are offered for our lower middle school students including sports, student council, and theater opportunities as well as chorus and band for sixth graders.
