STAR Physical Therapy is the Official
Sports Medicine Partner of Goodpasture Christian School
The Sports Medicine field focuses on preventing and treating injuries and disorders that are a result of participating in sports.
GCS is fortunate to have two STAR Athletic trainers, Hannah Jernigan* and Alex Craine on staff to serve our student-athletes. Certified athletic trainers are licensed healthcare professionals who, depending on the type and extent of the injury, will collaborate with the student athlete's healthcare team.
The goal is two-fold: 1) Improve function, and 2) Return patients to activity in a quick and safe manner.
* Hannah received the 2023 Tennessee Athletic Trainers' Society Backbone Award in recognition of her commitment to serving GCS Athletics.
