Academics

Elementary School

Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
The elementary years serve as the foundation for more formal academic training.

From our pre-kindergarten classrooms to kindergarten in the Little Red Schoolhouse to the halls of the elementary building, it is evident that we are committed to a quality education for these precious children. Our state-approved curriculum includes language arts, math, science, and social studies. In addition, two pivotal academic programs are incorporated at the appropriate elementary level:

Structured Literacy Program

The SMILA/Structured Literacy program prepares Pre-

K and Kindergarten students to read. Additional areas of growth and development include: 1) Physical, Social, and Cognitive Development; 2) Language and Phonemic Awareness; 3) Speech and Communication; and 4) Math and Number Concepts.

Project Lead the Way

A nationally-recognized STEM program, PLTW presents students with real-world scenarios to solve by incorporating elements of the program.
Students have Bible Class and P.E. daily.

Students have art, computers, music, STEM lab, and/or library weekly.

iPads and iMac computers are utilized in reading and math.

Studio 2:55 offers after-school activities for elementary students.
