Sports Medicine
The Sports Medicine field focuses on preventing and treating injuries and disorders that may occur from participating in sports. STAR Physical Therapy is the Official Sports Medicine Partner of Goodpasture Christian School. GCS is fortunate to have STAR Athletic trainer Mike Fitzgibbons on staff to serve our student athletes.
Certified athletic trainers are licensed healthcare professionals who, depending on the type and extent of the injury, will collaborate with the student athlete's healthcare team. Their goal is two-fold: 1) Improve function, and 2) Return patients to activity quickly and safely.
For the latest information, download the GCS sports app, available on Apple App Store or Google Play.
